Terms of Service — MirrorVox

Version: 1.0

Effective date: on publication of this version (this version has not been published yet)

Last updated: 19 August 2026

1. Who we are

MirrorVox is an online service that lets you change the voice track of a video you already own, and optionally create a custom voice from audio samples you provide.

The service is operated by:

  • Francisco Serralvo
  • Calle La Unión Mercantil 33, 29004 Málaga, Spain
  • Tax identification number (NIF): 53693189B
  • Email: hello@mirrorvox.app

In these Terms, "we", "us" and "MirrorVox" mean the operator above; "you" means the person using the service.

These Terms are available in English and Spanish. Both versions have the same content; in case of discrepancy for a consumer resident in Spain, the Spanish version prevails.

2. Eligibility and accounts

MirrorVox is a paid contractual service. You must have legal capacity to enter into a contract, which in Spain means being at least 18 years old. This is a contractual condition: we do not operate a technical age-verification gate, and we rely on your declaration.

Accounts are created through Google sign-in. You are responsible for the Google account you use, for keeping access to it secure, and for all activity carried out through your MirrorVox account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms.

3. The service

MirrorVox lets you:

  • upload a video you own or are authorised to use;
  • choose a voice from the MirrorVox voice catalogue or from voices you have created;
  • generate a new version of the video with that voice;
  • download the result and see your past conversions in your history;
  • delete your conversions and files from your account.

The visual part of your video is not edited by MirrorVox; only the voice track is transformed.

We do not promise that a result will match a particular artistic expectation, or that a converted voice will be usable for any specific purpose.

4. Your content

You keep all rights you already hold in the videos, audio samples and other material you upload ("your content"). We do not claim ownership of it.

By uploading content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, transmit, process, transform and deliver back your content, only to the extent needed to operate the service for you and to provide the result you requested. This licence includes passing the necessary material to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy for that same purpose.

This licence exists only while we need it to provide the service and to run our data-lifecycle processes. We do not use your content to advertise MirrorVox, and we do not license it to third parties for their own purposes.

You are responsible for having the rights needed to upload and process the content you submit.

5. Video processing and technical limits

Uploaded videos must currently be MP4 or MOV, no longer than 3 minutes and no larger than 500 MB. These limits may change for future purchases.

Processing runs asynchronously: your file is uploaded, queued, processed by our processing worker together with the voice provider, and the result is stored in your account. Processing time varies and can fail for technical reasons.

Uploaded videos and generated results are subject to a data lifecycle. Each stored video asset carries a purge date set to 30 days after creation, and our purge process deletes the stored file once that date has passed. Records that are not the media file itself — for example conversion records or usage records — may be kept longer for the reasons described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Voice cloning

MirrorVox lets you create a custom voice from audio samples you upload. The custom voice is created through an external voice provider (currently ElevenLabs) and can only be used from your own account.

A custom voice can only be used once the provider reports it as ready. Creation can fail, and results vary depending on the quality and length of the samples you provide.

7. Authorisation for cloned voices

You may only create a custom voice when:

  • the voice is your own, or
  • you hold the rights and, where applicable, the authorisation of the person whose voice it is, and
  • you are able to produce that authorisation if you are asked for it.

Before a cloning attempt can start, MirrorVox requires you to accept a consent statement in the interface. That acceptance is recorded as an append-only record containing, among other fields, the time, the consent text and version, the language, and the provider involved. Cloning is technically blocked when no such record exists.

This is a declaration made by you. MirrorVox does not verify that you are the owner of the voice, and does not verify any third-party authorisation. You remain responsible for the lawfulness of the samples you upload and of the use you make of the resulting voice.

8. AI-generated audio

The audio that MirrorVox produces is synthetic speech generated by artificial intelligence. It is not a recording of the person whose voice is being reproduced.

You agree not to use the service to impersonate a person or an organisation, and to clearly disclose the artificial nature of the audio when you publish or distribute the result, in line with the transparency rules of the European Union's artificial intelligence legislation applicable to you as a professional user.

We describe here only what the service does today. We do not claim that outputs currently carry any particular technical watermark or machine-readable AI marking.

9. Acceptable use

You agree to use MirrorVox only for content you are entitled to process, and in a way that respects other people's rights, including image, voice, personality, personal-data and intellectual-property rights.

10. Plans, minutes and billing

MirrorVox is sold as monthly plans that include a number of conversion minutes. Minutes are consumed according to the duration processed. A conversion that fails does not consume minutes. If your available balance is not enough for a conversion, the conversion cannot be started.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.

Prices, plan contents and limits are those shown at the time of purchase, and may change for future periods. The checkout shows the total amount payable and the applicable taxes before you confirm.

11. Free usage

New accounts include one free conversion of up to 3 minutes. It is available once per account, it is not transferable and it has no cash value. Once it has been used, further conversions require a plan or additional minutes.

12. Additional minutes

You can buy additional minutes on top of your plan at the price shown at the time of purchase. When a conversion consumes minutes, the minutes included in your current subscription period are used first, and purchased additional minutes are used afterwards.

Purchased additional minutes do not expire. They remain available in your account after a subscription period ends and after you cancel a subscription.

13. Subscriptions, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically for successive monthly periods until you cancel them. They are managed through Stripe's customer portal from your billing page.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep access to your plan until that period ends.

The minutes included in a plan belong to the subscription period in which they are granted. Unused included minutes stay available until the end of the paid period and expire after it. Purchased additional minutes are not affected and do not expire.

A plan change or downgrade applies from your next renewal. We do not recalculate the current period retroactively and we do not retroactively remove minutes that have already been granted.

14. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have 14 calendar days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.

Two situations apply to MirrorVox, and both are governed by Spanish consumer law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, TRLGDCU, transposing Directive 2011/83/EU):

  • Subscriptions (a service). Under Article 103(a) TRLGDCU, you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, provided performance began with your prior express consent and with your acknowledgement that you would lose that right. If you withdraw while the subscription is still running and performance began at your request, you owe an amount proportionate to what has already been supplied up to the moment you inform us, as provided in Article 108(3) TRLGDCU.
  • Additional minutes and conversions (digital content not supplied on a tangible medium). Under Article 103(m) TRLGDCU, the right of withdrawal does not apply once performance has begun with your prior express consent and with your acknowledgement that you thereby lose that right.

Before any payment can start, the checkout shows a review step and collects four separate acts: acceptance of these Terms, acknowledgement of the Privacy Policy, an express request that performance begin immediately, and acknowledgement of the effect that request has on your right of withdrawal. The document versions shown, the language and the time of each act are recorded by us as evidence.

Nothing in these Terms is a general waiver of your right of withdrawal. The right is lost only in the specific circumstances described above, and only to the extent the law provides.

To withdraw, send us an unequivocal statement to hello@mirrorvox.app, or use the model withdrawal form set out in the Annex to these Terms. We will reimburse you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed, using the same means of payment you used, less any proportionate amount due under Article 108(3) where it applies.

15. Refunds

MirrorVox does not offer a discretionary commercial refund policy in addition to what the law provides. This is not an exclusion of refunds: your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer remain fully intact and are not waived by these Terms.

Where the right of withdrawal in section 14 applies, we refund according to that right and applicable consumer law. We also refund where the law otherwise requires it, for example where a paid service was not provided.

16. Account deletion

You can delete your account from your account page. When you do:

  • your access is revoked and your sessions are terminated;
  • your profile information is anonymised;
  • the files stored for your account are deleted, and your conversions and assets are processed through the deletion flow;
  • your custom voices and samples are deleted, and voices held at the external provider are requested to be deleted where we hold a provider identifier for them;
  • where a provider deletion request fails, the failure is kept as a recoverable state so it can be retried;
  • an internal deletion record is created for audit purposes;
  • records we must or may lawfully keep — billing and usage-ledger entries and voice consent records — are retained as described in the Privacy Policy, and the underlying authentication record is kept for referential integrity.

Account deletion is not reversible from the interface. We do not claim that every trace disappears immediately or that no record of the account remains.

17. Intellectual property

MirrorVox, its interface, branding and software remain our property or that of our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service, not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

Rights in the output generated from your content are yours to the extent the law allows, subject to the rights of any third parties involved in the source material and to the voice provider's own terms.

18. Third-party services

MirrorVox depends on third-party providers for authentication, storage, database, payments, media processing infrastructure and voice generation. Those providers are listed in the Privacy Policy. Their availability and their own terms can affect the service.

19. Service availability

We aim to keep the service available, but it is provided on an "as available" basis. Maintenance, provider incidents, quota limits and failures can interrupt it. We do not commit to a service level unless we have agreed one with you in writing.

20. Prohibited uses

You must not use MirrorVox to:

  • process content you have no right to process;
  • clone or imitate a person's voice without the rights or authorisation required;
  • impersonate a person or organisation, or create deceptive material such as fraudulent, defamatory or misleading audio;
  • create content that is illegal, that sexualises minors, or that harasses or incites violence or hatred;
  • attempt to bypass usage limits, quotas, authentication or billing;
  • attack, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service or its providers.

21. Disclaimer

The service is provided as it is and as available. We do not warrant that results will be error-free, of any particular quality, fit for a specific purpose, or that any given voice output will be suitable for your intended use.

22. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability owed to consumers under mandatory consumer-protection rules.

Subject to that, and to the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid to us for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

23. Changes to the service

We may add, change or remove features. Where a change materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will inform you in advance where the law requires it.

24. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version, with its version number and date, is always published on this page. We recommend reading it before each purchase: the checkout records which version of these Terms was shown to you and when you accepted it, so the version applicable to each purchase can always be identified.

25. Governing law, jurisdiction and complaints

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, this choice does not deprive you of the protection given to you by the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of your habitual residence in the European Union, and you may bring proceedings before the courts of your place of domicile, as provided by Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012.

You can send any complaint to hello@mirrorvox.app. Consumers may also use the dispute-resolution mechanisms available to them under the consumer-protection rules of their country of residence.
